Music Theatre Wichita is a nonprofit performing arts organization based in Wichita, Kansas, known for producing five Broadway-scale musical productions each summer at Century II Performing Arts Center. Founded in 1972, it operates as the state’s largest subscribed arts organization, leveraging a collaborative model that brings together top theatrical professionals from Broadway and Hollywood with regional talent to create high-quality musicals during June through August. The organization relies on a year-round administrative team, seasonal performers, technical staff, and musicians to design, rehearse, and stage productions for an audience that spans local communities and wider regional reach. Its work contributes to the cultural landscape of Kansas by presenting large-scale musical theatre productions within a professional, not-for-profit framework.
