Mutua Madrileña is a Spanish insurance group headquartered in Madrid, in the Community of Madrid. In Spain, it serves more than 19 million clients and has held the top position in non-life insurance for eight consecutive years, while also leading health insurance through Adeslas and auto insurance. The group pursues bancassurance as a core growth strategy, evidenced by the 2011 acquisition of 50% of SegurCaixa Adeslas and a 2022 expansion of distribution through a CaixaBank alliance that leverages the former Bankia network; it also acquired a 50% stake in El Corte Inglés' insurance subsidiaries to widen its product and service offerings. Since 2015 it has extended its footprint beyond Spain, with a presence in Chile (holding 60% of Bci Seguros) and in Colombia (45% of Seguros del Estado). Its asset-management activities are led by Mutuactivos, and it manages prime office space in Madrid through Mutua Inmobiliaria.
