myAgro is an organization that supports smallholder farmers in West Africa to lift themselves out of poverty. It uses a mobile layaway platform that lets farmers save small amounts over time to purchase bundles of farm inputs and climate-smart training, delivered in their village. Packages cover seeds, fertilizer, trees, and poultry, helping farmers diversify production and increase yields. On average, participating farmers produce 50-100% more food and earn US$50-150 more in income. Based in Thies in the Thiès region of Senegal, myAgro has grown from 240 farmers in 2011 to more than 250,000 in 2024, with a goal of reaching one million farmers in West Africa. A notable recent development is a 2026 partnership with CIMMYT to test and promote improved pearl millet varieties suited to harsh conditions.
