NAATBatt International is a not-for-profit trade association based in Chicago that unites companies, associations and research institutions focused on commercializing advanced electrochemical energy storage for emerging high-tech applications. Its member base spans advanced battery, ultracapacitor and electrode manufacturers, energy materials suppliers, vehicle makers, electric utilities, equipment vendors, service providers, universities and other research organizations. Operating within the appliances, electrical, and electronics manufacturing landscape, NAATBatt aims to advance the market adoption of electrochemical energy storage by supplying market intelligence, raising the visibility of members' brands and technologies, enabling networking, and facilitating access to new technologies. In 2024 the organization announced a leadership transition, with the departure of its chief executive and the appointment of David Klanecky, formerly chief executive of Cirba Solutions, as president-elect. This reflects ongoing governance changes within NAATBatt as it continues to support the North American advanced battery industry.
