As an Environmental Planning Consultant, I work with jurisdictions to conduct environmental analyses in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  I also provide planning services on a contract basis including assistance with the development and/or amendment of general plans, specific plans, and recreation plans.  Key areas of interest include helping jurisdictions create vital downtowns, and protect their creeks, greenways, urban growth buffers and other environmental features as they develop; protection of these features helps communities maintain a strong sense of place that is unique to their particular location; it also helps them become integrated into a healthy watershed and region, contributing to the health of residents and our planet.
