Nanopore Diagnostics, LLC is a small biotechnology research company based in St. Louis, Missouri. It is developing a rapid, portable platform for counting microbes at the point of need. The system, called the iNDxer, can detect more than 50 distinct microbial targets in a single assay across bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic organisms, marrying rugged portability with field readiness. 

It is designed to provide field-based screening and diagnostic testing with a 30-minute sample-to-answer turnaround, in a self-contained, all-in-one format. The technology is aimed at farms, food processing lines, and human health clinics, enabling laboratory-quality microbiology testing to be performed directly where testing is needed.
