The Napa Valley Vine Trail is a community-supported biking and walking trail system, envisioned to span 47 miles between Vallejo and Calistoga. ROUTE: The Vine Trail has three completed sections for 26 miles. It starts at the Vallejo Ferry terminal and continues 7.5 miles north to the Newell Open Space District in American Canyon. It picks up at River Sound in Napa and travels 12 miles along the Wine Train right of way, along vineyards to the Town of Yountville. From the City of St Helena, the trail traverses 8.2 miles through 15 private vineyards, Bothe State Park, to the City of Calistoga. The Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition BUILDS, MAINTAINS, and MAXIMIZES the Napa Valley Vine Trail. We steward community philanthropy, optimize landowner engagement, write government transportation grants, and accelerate pre-engineering to support local jurisdiction readiness to complete the 47-mile trail vision. The NVVT includes a 30-member board representing a broad spectrum of community & civic organizations, hundreds of volunteers, and a 5,000-citizen mailing list of supporters with a shared vision for a safer, accessible walking/biking trail system to connect the entire Napa Valley physically, artistically, and culturally.
