Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) is a regional trade association in the Napa Valley wine industry, with about 550 member wineries and representing both vintners and grape growers in the region. The organization originated from a 1943 meeting among seven Napa Valley vintners and was formalized in 1944. NVV is based in Saint Helena, California, and employs between 51 and 200 people. Its mission includes advancing Napa Valley wines worldwide and promoting, protecting, and enhancing the wine region, including fundraising for local charities through Auction Napa Valley, which has raised more than $230 million since 1981; it launched the Napa Green Winery program in 2008 to promote climate-smart practices in wine production and hospitality. NVV is widely recognized as one of the leading wine trade organizations globally.
