NASK is a Polish organization based in Warsaw in the Masovian region, operating in data networks and computer and network security. It traces its roots to 1991 when it connected Poland to the Internet and has functioned as a research and development organization and leading data networks operator since 1993. The organization offers an integrated service package for business, administration, and academia, including broadband Internet, corporate networks, data transmission, hosting, videoconferencing, and security, and it engages in research with the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at Warsaw University of Technology on telecommunications, data quality, IT security, with a focus on biometric identification methods. As the Polish national registry for .pl domain names, NASK also helped establish a court of arbitration to mediate Internet domain-name disputes. It runs CERT Polska, the first Polish computer emergency response team, with a history of incident handling and international cooperation, and in March 2026 launched an AI computing cluster. It also hosts Dyżurnet.pl, a reporting point for anonymous submissions about potentially illegal material, notably related to child sexual abuse.
