The National Association for Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR) is a nonprofit organization based in Belmont, Massachusetts, dedicated to advancing Armenian studies through scholarship, research, and publication. Founded in 1955, it has supported the field by establishing endowed chairs, professorships, scholarships, fellowships, and academic programs at leading universities in the United States. It functions as a conduit between universities, foundations, scholars, and the public to promote Armenian studies and related research. NAASR's lecture series, a longstanding outreach, brings scholars from the United States and other countries to discuss topics spanning art, architecture, linguistics, literature, the Armenian Genocide, and regional affairs in Eurasia and the South Caucasus. The organization also maintains the Edward and Helen Mardigian Research Library (accessible on site and online) and operates a bookstore with more than 1700 titles. In 2026, NAASR announced a partnership with Belmont Public Library Inc to co-sponsor events, including a program on April 9, 2026, at the NAASR Vartan Gregorian Building in Belmont.
