The National Association of Broadcasters is a national trade association that represents radio and television broadcasters. It advocates on behalf of its members in federal policymaking and public affairs, coordinating with Congress, the Federal Communications Commission, and the administration. The organization also aims to improve the quality and profitability of broadcasting, and to promote innovation in content and technology, while highlighting the ways local stations serve their communities. 
Based in Washington, DC, NAB supports its members through advocacy, education, and innovation initiatives. The NAB Education Foundation runs programs focused on diversity, leadership, and professional development, and provides public service resources to support community initiatives. In 2024, NAB entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the National Institute of Standards and Technology and Nexstar Media Group to collaborate on standards and related technology efforts.
