The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) is a national advocacy organization in the hospitals and health care sector that supports Community Health Centers and seeks to expand access to high-quality, affordable care for medically underserved and uninsured populations. It analyzes CHC activities to inform local, state, and national understanding of their value within the U.S. health care system, and it provides training and technical assistance to health center staff and boards to strengthen operations and governance. Based in Bethesda, Maryland, NACHC builds alliances with public and private sectors to mobilize resources and investments for CHCs. In 2026, NACHC announced collaborations with CareQuest Institute for Oral Health to advance oral health integration and workforce development, and with the Joint Commission and Joint Commission International to develop education, training, advisory services, and accreditation resources for CHCs nationwide that serve about 52 million people. The year also saw leadership transitions within NACHC, including the departure of the Vice President of Policy and Regulatory Affairs and the Chief Experience Officer.
