The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators is a national nonprofit based in Lexington, Kentucky, that represents the recreational boating authorities of all 50 states and the U.S. territories. It develops public policy on recreational boating safety and offers resources such as training, model acts, education standards and publications to support those authorities. NASBLA's mission is to strengthen the capacity of state and territorial boating agencies to reduce deaths, injuries and property damage associated with recreational boating and to maintain a safe, secure and enjoyable boating environment. The organization operates through a nationwide network of thousands of educators, law enforcement personnel and volunteers, and says its activities reach more than 83 million American boaters. In 2026 NASBLA appointed Phoebe Wallace as Education Director, a development reflecting ongoing leadership updates and program delivery.
