NASWA is the national association representing all 50 state workforce agencies, along with the District of Columbia and U.S. territories. It coordinates the delivery of training, employment, career, and business services and administers unemployment insurance, veteran reemployment, and labor market information programs. The organization also provides policy expertise, shares promising state practices, and promotes leadership and innovation in workforce development. Based in North Granby, Connecticut, NASWA's mission is to enhance state agencies' ability to fulfill their statutory roles and to be a leading national advocate for workforce policy and system advancement. In 2026 NASWA participated in the SIDES Seminar in Denver, reflecting ongoing collaboration with the U.S. Department of Labor and participating state agencies and employers.
