About NCLC The National Campus Leadership Council (NCLC) cultivates, strengthens, and advances student leadership in higher education. Since our launch in 2012, we have empowered thousands of student body leaders at more than 500 colleges and universities around the country to develop the tools, networks, and skills necessary to confront exigent issues facing students today. We work closely with major higher education stakeholders in the public and private sectors to develop unparalleled resources and programs that support and elevate students’ success on a wide range of issues including college affordability, campus sexual assault, mental health, diversity and inclusion, environmental sustainability, and campus to career transitions. Regular program highlights include our annual Presidential Leadership Summit, regional summits, and roundtables focused on student success, and numerous events held at the White House and U.S. Department of Education on key national priorities. Additionally, we have played a critical role in launching launch major national initiatives including: - It’s On Us, a White House initiative to stop campus sexual assaults - Defend Our Future, a project with the Environmental Defense Fund to expand student engagement in sustainability programs - Don’t Double My Rate, a coalition-based campaign to keep federal student loan interest rates low in 2012 and 2013
