National COSH is a national leader in promoting safe and healthy working conditions, operating from Somerville, Massachusetts, with a focus on organizing and advocacy to advance workers’ safety. Founded in 2004, the organization aims to help workers earn a living with dignity and return home safely at the end of each shift. It emphasizes that most work-related deaths and serious injuries are preventable and works to empower workers to take protective action, safeguard against retaliation under safety laws, and access reliable information and training about hazards and workers’ rights. Its activities target working people broadly across industries, focusing on reducing hazards, ensuring protections against retaliation, and delivering information and training on workplace hazards and rights. In June 2025, National COSH launched a nationwide Week of Action to press for heat protections for 69 million U.S. workers, illustrating ongoing advocacy efforts.
