The National Cotton Council of America is a farming industry association headquartered in Cordova, Tennessee. It functions as a central forum for consensus-building among the diverse participants in the cotton supply chain—producers, ginners, warehousers, merchants, cottonseed processors and dealers, cooperatives and textile manufacturers—and it serves as a unifying voice to engage with government on cotton policy. In 2023 it released the National Cotton Council Planting Intentions Survey, which indicated a projected 17% reduction in U.S. cotton acres to about 11.4 million, reflecting its role in providing market insights to members.
