The National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) is a U.S. government agency based in the District of Columbia that coordinates counterterrorism efforts across the federal system. It fuses counterterrorism information from across the U.S. government, provides terrorism analysis, shares intelligence with partners across the counterterrorism enterprise, and drives whole-of-government action to meet national CT objectives. Its customers are government leaders and partner agencies responsible for national security and homeland defense. In March 2026, the organization reported a change in leadership with the director leaving the position.
