The National Entrepreneur Center is a collaborative business development hub in Orlando, Florida, founded in 2003 through a partnership among Walt Disney World, Orange County Government, and the University of Central Florida. It operates as a shared facility that houses multiple resident organizations to provide local entrepreneurs with free one-on-one coaching, low-cost seminars, networking events, and access to business resources. Since its inception, NEC has coached and trained more than 100,000 businesses and facilitated over $150 million in loans, supported by a network of 13 resident organizations at a single location. In 2011 the center relocated to Orlando Fashion Square, expanding its reach and access for entrepreneurs, and it has since pursued partnerships such as with the City of Winter Park to create the Winter Park Business Academy. Positioned in the business consulting and services industry, the NEC serves as a regional hub that coordinates resources, programs, and certifications to help small businesses start, grow, and compete.
