For more than five decades, it has promoted and supported the work of family planning providers and program administrators, with particular emphasis on safety-net contexts. The association represents a wide range of publicly funded providers, including state and local health departments, hospitals, federally qualified health centers, Planned Parenthood affiliates, family planning councils, and other private nonprofit agencies. Its member network spans nearly 1,000 organizations that operate or fund more than 3,500 health centers delivering family planning education and preventive care to millions of people across the United States each year. NFPRHA provides educational expertise to policymakers, health care providers, and the public; participates in research; and offers service-delivery support aimed at delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
