The National Federal Development Association is a national trade association that represents organizations and individuals providing real estate services to United States government agencies. It serves as a consolidated voice to federal agencies and Congressional committees on government real estate matters such as lease acquisition, build-to-suit construction, and the identification and disposition of surplus property, along with the related federal processes and procedures. Its scope includes operating expenses, impacts from lease consolidations, utilization rates, market alignment of leasing structures, and reducing the government’s reliance on lease extensions and holdovers, while promoting communication between the public and private sectors through regional chapters and national conferences. Based in Washington, D.C., the association operates at a national level within the non-residential real estate leasing industry. A development noted in 2018 was the appointment of Josh Evans as Regional Director for the New England Chapter.
