National Functional Evaluations provides functional evaluations that quantify an individual’s functional ability by comparing test results to data from a normal population. The assessments require the tested person to demonstrate competence in tasks that mirror everyday activities and work-related demands, making the evaluation a practical measure of human performance as it relates to capabilities. Baseline results establish a snapshot of functional status and subsequent tests track progress during prescribed Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation treatment, helping clinicians determine necessary adjustments to the care plan. The procedure is non-invasive and examines muscle strength in the tested areas, including grip, pinch, and lift, as well as ranges of motion. Tests are performed in a series of 3 to 6 repetitions to validate results, and all equipment is computerized and patient-friendly.
