The National Hellenic Society is a small to mid-sized civic and social nonprofit headquartered in Annandale, Virginia, with a national focus on Greek culture. It sponsors and organizes programs that promote this heritage by emphasizing knowledge, education, the arts, and civic responsibility. Founded by Greek American leaders, the organization is incorporated in Delaware as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) entity and coordinates activities and support for other like-minded tax-exempt groups. 

The NHS advances its mission through sponsorship and coordination of scientific, educational, and charitable programs that reflect Greek ideas. A recent development is a partnership with Manatos & Manatos to support the Fifth Annual NHS Heritage America Program through the Washington, DC chapter.
