The National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA) is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., established in 1994. It represents roughly 50,000 licensed Hispanic physicians in the United States and seeks to improve the health of Hispanics and other underserved populations. NHMA advances professional and public health initiatives through partnerships and programs that address health disparities. In 2020 it launched the Vaccinate for All campaign in collaboration with the CDC and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to address COVID-19 vaccination gaps. In 2023 it partnered with the Amgen Foundation to increase awareness among policymakers about cardiovascular disease prevalence in the Hispanic community.
