The National Mining Association (NMA) is a United States trade association focused on government relations services, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia 20001. It serves as the voice of U.S. mining and the hundreds of thousands of workers in the industry, advocating before Congress, federal agencies, the judiciary, and the media for public policies that support secure and reliable supply chains, abundant and affordable energy, and domestically sourced materials, with emphasis on high environmental, safety, and labor standards. NMA has a membership of more than 250 companies and organizations involved in every aspect of mining, including producers, equipment makers, and service providers. The organization launched the CORESafety program in 2011 to enhance safety, health, and well-being in mining.
