The National Women's Business Council is a nonpartisan federal advisory council that serves as an independent source of advice to the President, Congress, and the U.S. Small Business Administration on economic issues important to women business owners. It functions as the government's independent voice on women entrepreneurs. The council includes 15 members who are prominent women business owners and leaders of women's business organizations, appointed to three-year terms, and it is based in Washington, D.C. Recent activity includes the release of its 2022 Annual Report in March 2023 and collaborations with federal agencies to support its work, such as with the Social Security Administration in 2022 and the Census Bureau in 2020. Earlier efforts included a partnership with United Parcel Service and the Small Business Administration in 2019.
