National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC) is a national membership network based in Washington, DC, focused on improving how organizations help youth become productive citizens. Operating within the education administration programs sphere, NYEC advances quality by setting and promoting standards, tracking and shaping policy, supporting professional development, and building the capacity of member organizations and their programs. As a small- to mid-sized nonprofit, it coordinates a nationwide network to strengthen youth employment and education efforts. Its primary customers are member organizations and programs that serve young people, and it seeks to address challenges in workforce preparation and youth development by fostering standards, policy influence, and collaborative capacity-building. A notable 2026 development is the launch of the Youth Champion Employer Council, an employer-led initiative designed to align real-time workforce needs with partners who effectively serve a younger demographic.
