The National Youth Leadership Council is a national nonprofit headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It aims to empower young people to lead and strengthen communities through meaningful change, guided by three pillars: service-learning, youth leadership, and youth voice. The organization supports this work by offering tools, professional development, and resources for students and educators to develop leadership skills and drive community impact. Its work targets students, educators, and communities seeking lasting leadership development and practical solutions to real-world problems, approached with empathy and civic responsibility. In January 2026, NYLC announced a partnership with the Afterschool Alliance, expanding its reach to multiple states and indirectly influencing more than 160,000 young people.
