NZF operates as a UK platform that links individuals eligible to give Zakat with recipients in their local communities. The organization directs Zakat to support local Muslims with basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, and to fund skills development and educational opportunities for aspiring religious leaders and community advocates. It provides an end-to-end Zakat experience, including a calculator to determine the amount, options to designate funds across various programs, and clarity on how administrative costs are covered, along with delivery updates and impact reporting. Based in London, NZF sits within the civic and social sector and focuses on the UK Muslim population. By facilitating locally directed giving, it seeks to foster a more cohesive Muslim community and support grassroots, positive change.
