Natural Soda LLC is a mining company based in Meeker, Colorado, that produces pure, natural sodium bicarbonate from its extensive nahcolite leases in the Piceance Creek Basin. The operation relies on a brine-based process that dissolves nahcolite with hot water, recrystallizes sodium bicarbonate as the brine cools, and yields a stable source of refined product. The company serves customers in the food, pharmaceutical, industrial, and animal feed sectors, providing a consistent and high-quality natural sodium bicarbonate derived from North America’s only significant nahcolite deposit. With access to this resource, Natural Soda positions itself as a key producer within its industry, emphasizing safety and environmental protection alongside product purity. A notable recent development is a collaboration announced in 2020 with Santos to repurpose salt waste from a mining project into usable sodium bicarbonate for various applications.
