NC State BTEC (Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center) is a cross-disciplinary instructional facility within North Carolina State University’s College of Engineering that trains professionals for the biomanufacturing industry. Located on the university’s Centennial Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina, it operates two facilities with substantial industry-standard equipment and a simulated cGMP pilot plant, enabling hands-on learning in biomanufacturing processes. The center serves undergraduates, graduate students, and working professionals, and also conducts process development, scale-up, and equipment evaluation studies under contracts, supporting the development of a skilled and industry-focused workforce in biomanufacturing. Its mission-worthy activities include establishing and expanding biomanufacturing in North Carolina to drive innovation and job creation, while providing educational and training opportunities to address workforce needs.
