The Nepalese Children's Education Fund (NCEF) is a nonprofit organization that supports the education of disadvantaged Nepalese children. By identifying children in need and placing them in school, NCEF provides textbooks and supplies and assigns social workers in Nepal to regularly engage with the children and their families, focusing resources on each student through to the completion of high school. Established in 2002 and based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the organization operates with volunteers in both Nepal and the United States and does not employ salaries or office expenses, administering scholarships through local coordinators and volunteers. NCEF reports having raised funds to award hundreds of annual scholarships across multiple districts in Nepal, and it holds a 501(c)(3) status in the United States.
