NCGrowth is an economic development center affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. It provides technical assistance to small- and medium-sized businesses, governments, anchor institutions, and other organizations to create good jobs and generate new wealth in economically distressed communities. It carries out applied research and develops policies to promote equitable development, and it hosts cross-sector convenings, workshops, and conferences to draw together diverse perspectives. Its staff operate across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia, with activity in communities nationwide that support initiatives from hyper-local to broader national scales. Founded in 2012, NCGrowth is affiliated with the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise and the Kenan-Flagler Business School.
