New Brunswick Public Schools is a vibrant, diverse school district located in one of New Jersey’s most historic communities, a thriving college town that has been home to Rutgers University for over 250 years. Located in the heart of Middlesex County, New Brunswick is renowned as a cultural, arts, and culinary center, and as a transportation hub only 60 minutes from New York City, 90 minutes from Philadelphia, and just 45 minutes from the beautiful Jersey Shore.
 
To date, New Brunswick Public Schools has around 2,000 certified teachers and professional support staff members serving the needs of 11 schools. Specifically, there are eight neighborhood elementary schools and a middle school, plus New Brunswick High School – which features four themed career institutes and two preparatory academies – and the Health Sciences Technology High School for students interested in eventually pursuing healthcare careers. In addition, an Adult Learning Center addresses local community requirements and has provided educational services to more than 4,000 graduates.
