Founded over 80 years ago as Harrisburg Truck Body, the company has always been at the forefront of the truck upfit industry. Originally based in Harrisburg, the company moved to the west shore in 1958 after the Susquehanna River bridge was built. In its early years, the company built truck bodies from scratch—including casket bodies—while also providing repair services.

In 1985, Steve Forrest purchased the company, bringing new energy and vision. With new ownership came a new name—New Harrisburg Truck Body—reflecting a commitment to innovation and growth. Under Steve’s leadership, the company expanded to 25,000 square feet across three buildings, including a 56-foot paint booth. A new line of casket bodies was introduced, business increased tenfold, and the company became one of the largest distributors among its vendors.
