New Harvest is based in Brooklyn, New York, and pursues cellular agriculture, the production of animal products from cell cultures. It coordinates external support and collaborative efforts to enlarge open cellular agriculture research, seeking to ensure that the work advanced is synergistic for the field. The organization also brings together scientists, academia, industry representatives, policymakers, and regulatory authorities to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and aligned activity. Additionally, it informs stakeholders and the broader public, including media and universities, to broaden awareness and engagement with cellular agriculture. By supporting pioneers in this emerging field, New Harvest aims to lay the groundwork for a new bioeconomy. In January 2026 it launched an Infrastructure Directory to map and connect cellular agriculture assets, a concrete step toward better accessibility and coordination of resources.
