Preserving Family Histories With Professional Precision I’m Matthew McCormack, President and Owner of New Line Genealogy, L.L.C. For more than 25 years, I’ve dedicated my career to uncovering, documenting, and preserving the stories that shape families, institutions, and communities. My path began in Southeast Michigan and continued in Alpena, where living alongside multiple generations of my own family sparked a lifelong passion for history and genealogy. I later earned my B.A. in History, with a minor in Historic Preservation, from Eastern Michigan University—training that forms the foundation of my approach to historical research and documentation. Professional roles at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village deepened my archival and research skills, while my experience in the technology sector sharpened my ability to organize and manage complex genealogical data. In 2001, I founded New Line Genealogy, and since then I’ve partnered with clients across the United States to produce meticulously researched family histories, archival assessments, narrative family books, and multi-year research projects. My work often includes: Comprehensive multi-generation genealogies Archival organization and digitization Narrative family history books (200–500+ pages) Historical research for estates, lineage societies, and heritage organizations Consulting for family offices and private collections Every project is approached with the same commitment to accuracy, clarity, and preservation. If your organization, estate, or family is seeking a professional genealogist for detailed research, archival work, or a long-form family history project, I welcome the opportunity to connect.
