New Wilmington Presbyterian church is, as our Mission Statement expresses, “a family of believers called by God in Jesus Christ and led by the Holy Spirit to promote the worship of Almighty God, make disciples, and meet human needs.” As with any mission statement this expresses our goals, our highest ideals, and our prayer as to who we are, who we seek to become, and the process by which we hope to progress toward those ideals. Inherent in all of this is an invitation, a call to any and all who will, to come and be a part of this effort to honor Christ by seeking to be His loving hands, His caring heart, His listening ear, His strong arm of support, and His strong and steady presence and compassion in an increasingly tumultuous culture and world.
