The New York Open Center is a wellness and fitness services organization based in New York City. It is located at 22 East 30th Street, New York, NY 10016. Founded in 1984 in downtown New York City, it pursues a mission to bring holistic, ecological, and spiritual worldviews into the contemporary world through programs, workshops, conferences, lectures, and performances. It aims to advance a more conscious, multicultural, sustainable, and just world, drawing on diverse practices and beliefs and focusing on the development of the body, psyche, spiritual faculties, creative arts, and social and ecological transformation. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Open Center launched New Yorkers for New York, a free stress and anxiety reduction toolkit for first responders and front-line workers, used by over 10,000 people.
