Our history in the petroleum equipment industry began in 1927 when Mr. Newberry began peddling pumps, hoses, and tanks in the Mid South. In 1951, Mr. Newberry moved the company to its present location in West Memphis, Arkansas, to begin manufacturing tank trucks and steel storage tanks. Mr. Newberry was a founding member of the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI). As a result of his determination, hard work, and drive to see the organization succeed, he became known as "The Father of the PEI."

Over the years, Newberry has worked with organizations such as STI, PEI, NFPA, EPA, and Underwriter's Laboratories and has been instrumental in developing many of the products and standards serving the industry today. In 2012 our catalog of storage tank equipment and services expanded to include rectangular lube tanks, lube dispensing and oil recycling recovery systems.   

Centralized manufacturing facilities provide superior economies of scale and combine with the Newberry quality and production systems to lever competitive advantage. National coverage from a strategic location, Memphis, often referred to as “America’s Distribution Center” gives Newberry the continued advantage of quick transit times and some of the most competitive freight rates in the industry.
