Since 1988, NewFest has been providing a platform for LGBTQIA+ filmmakers to share their work, bringing the queer community together to celebrate its stories. We present year-round screenings and events that include The New York LGBTQ Film Festival, now running for 35+ years. NewFest is dedicated to bringing together filmmakers and audiences to build a community that passionately supports giving voice and visibility to a wide range of representations of the LGBTQIA+ experience. We are committed to nurturing emerging queer and allied filmmakers. We support artists who are willing to take risks in telling the stories that fully reflect the diversity and complexity of our lives.
