Since 1998, Newport Partners has placed over $1 billion in low income housing tax credit (“LIHTC”) equity and closed over 172 projects with approximately 13,000 units.  In addition to tax credit syndication for institutional investors, our business has grown to include asset management, property management, development and construction.  We have also acted as a financial advisor with respect to renewable energy production tax credits (“PTC”) and manufacturer of solar PV models.  Newport Partners owns Silicon Energy, a manufacturer of world class aesthetically pleasing PV modules renown for durability and performance with manufacturing plants in Marysville, WA and Mt. Iron, MN.  Newport has also developed and financed many residential and small solar projects in WA and MN.
