Next Adventure operates as a Portland-based outdoor store offering gear and apparel for a range of outdoor activities. It carries products from well-known brands such as Mountain Hardwear, Kavu, Black Diamond and Marmot, and provides closeout items as well as a dedicated floor for used and recycled gear. The company's website serves as a resource for outdoor enthusiasts in the Portland area and surrounding region. In the broader sporting goods landscape, the business addresses the needs of local customers seeking brand-name equipment, discounts on merchandise, and access to secondhand gear. Based in Portland, Oregon, the operation is mid-sized. In early 2021, Next Adventure Inc introduced a Paid Volunteer Time Off policy for staff.
