Nicole Migeon Architect (NMA) is a New York City-based firm that combines architectural services with interior design, furniture and lighting design, custom millwork, and fine art consultation. This integrated, multidisciplinary model delivers significant advantages. By offering a single point of entry, we streamline the design process for busy clients while fostering a strong, collaborative, and rewarding connection with the project team. Guided by a coherent vision from concept to completion, we find opportunities that might otherwise be overlooked—for finish materials that flow from indoors to outdoors, windows optimized for views and natural light, architectural details and lighting designed to complement specific artworks and furnishings, and elegantly integrated custom millwork. The result is a fully realized project responsive to the unique characteristics of its owner, site, and community. NMA’s character as a firm reflects the vision of founder and principal architect Nicole Migeon, whose accomplished career in architecture and interior design—along with her early experience in a fine art auction house—led her to create a practice that dissolves the boundaries among these disciplines. Our core aesthetic is a warm minimalism, informed by classical design principles and the history of the fine and decorative arts. Our designs employ unique and tactile materials in layered compositions; elegant juxtapositions of form and color; oversized doors and windows that dissolve the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces; and translucent or opaque panels that move to suit the mood, time of day, or purpose. As city dwellers, we love the energy and variety of urban life, and we embrace the discipline of optimizing compact urban spaces.
