Nine East Network is dedicated to connecting Vermont’s deaf and hard of hearing children with effective strategies and supports for learning.  Our team of experienced professionals offer direct services, training, and consultation in all regions of Vermont.  We support families and educators in creating the best learning opportunities possible for deaf and hard of hearing children.  We also provide consulting services in the areas of speech and language, literacy and math instruction, and curriculum development.

Formerly known as Vermont Consultants for Language and Learning, Nine East Network draws on decades of experience in the fields of speech, language, special education, individual student program development, and inter-agency services, to fill the gaps in education in Vermont.  We are dedicated to serving Vermont’s children, schools and agencies.

In July of 2003, Nine East Network was founded primarily to provide speech and language services. Over the years, our agency has served many purposes and filled a variety of gaps in Vermont’s service needs to children and families.  Some of our customers have included the Bennington School, North Country Supervisory Union, Caledonia North Supervisory Union, Washington Central Supervisory Union, South Burlington School District, and the State of Vermont Agency of Education and the Department of Corrections.  In the fall of 2014, Nine East Network was asked to administer the Statewide Program for Children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, as well as the Vermont Parent-Infant Program.
