Nopetro designs, builds, operates and maintains Liquefied Natural Gas (“LNG”)and Compressed Natural Gas (“CNG”) fueling stations and sells LNG and CNGfuels primarily to heavy and medium duty commercial trucks, buses (transit andschool), refuse trucks, street sweepers and port and rail hostling equipment. LNG and CNG, both domestically produced natural gas fuels, are the only viable alternatives to diesel. Both LNG and CNG are overwhelmingly attractive to private industry (commercial truck fleets) and government vehicle fleets because using natural gas fuel: (1) is substantially cheaper than diesel, reducing operating cost by at least 20%; (2) is significantly cleaner than diesel, reducing carbon pollution by 30% and particulate matter by 100%; (3) is domestic and abundant (U.S. has largest natural gas reserves in the world) – thus enhancing national security and goodwill; (4) is renewable – capable of being produced from garbage landfills; and (5) is proven technologically and commercially, with natural gas trucks performing equally to their diesel counterparts. In addition, as evidenced by the litany of Federal Natural Gas Bills pending before Congress, the U.S. government will continue to promote natural gas usage in transportation via tax incentives because using it in lieu of imported oil will enhance national security, create jobs, reduce our trade imbalance, and keep energy dollars at home instead of exporting them overseas.
