Founded in 2005 by Kenneth Kuhns, Norden Mfg introduced the innovative hay bale accumulator. This system uses gravity and a straightforward mechanical process to efficiently arrange small square bales into groups. Unlike other bale accumulators, it operates without hydraulics or electronics, harnessing excess energy from the baler plunger to push bales up and out of the chute. As bales slide down the accumulator bed, the last bale in each row triggers a gate to open the next row, and the final bale opens the back gate. Springs automatically reset the gates, ensuring continuous and efficient operation.
