Norman Frede has practiced this basic business philosophy ever since establishing his Dealership in 1968 with a vision to become "the best and biggest Chevrolet Dealer in the Gulf Coast area." Seeing the growth-taking place in Clear Lake, in 1971 he moved the business to its present location on Bay Area Blvd. He states, "It is a business with terrific potential, but you have to do it right. Don't get fancy, and remember to stick with the basic fundamentals of building relationships."

Norman Frede is one of the few Dealers left that have not sold to a corporation or one of the many Dealer Groups. His vision and passion for the business and his loyalty to his employees and customers is what keeps the Dealership moving forward.

Now 50 years later, Norman Frede Chevrolet remains remains strong in its location and has a 100,000 sq. ft. facility, with more than 120 employees. His Dealership offers a complete line of New Chevrolet's, a large selection of pre-owned and GM Certified vehicles, Finance and Insurance department, Aftermarket accessories, Collision repair facility that works closely with many insurance companies, a Parts department that carries over half a million in inventory, and a award winning Service department.
