The North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) is a Washington, DC–based organization in the environmental services sector that has led efforts to promote excellence in environmental education for more than five decades. It stands as the only national membership body dedicated to strengthening the field and raising the visibility and effectiveness of the environmental education profession. 

NAAEE connects a global network, with members in more than 30 countries and 54 affiliate organizations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, totaling more than 16,000 professionals from business, government, higher education, K–12, nonformal education, early childhood education, science education and STEM, and related sectors. The organization supports collaboration and professional development across these communities to advance environmental education practice. A recent development includes NAAEE’s support for the ee360+ Year 5 Bridge Building grant to Iowaee to back three inaugural student chapters.
