North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1982 that supports the global veterinary healthcare community through continuing professional development and related resources. It is headquartered in Gainesville, Florida, with additional offices in Orlando, and maintains a mid-sized team focused on education and advocacy. Its flagship initiative, VMX (Veterinary Meeting & Expo), draws more than 17,000 attendees each year, while ongoing learning is supported through the Vetfolio platform and a steady stream of publications. The NAVC offers a diverse mix of programs, including four publications, a range of continuing education opportunities, several certifications, and career resources such as a job-seeking app. It also hosts multiple conferences, including the NAVC Institute and the Veterinary Innovation Summit, and maintains advocacy efforts through the Veterinary Innovation Council and Embrace. In March 2026, NAVC announced a partnership with Zoetis and HABRI to broaden access to its certification programs and reach more veterinary students.
